DALE HESLIP is a multi-nominated and award-winning Canadian filmmaker, known for his versatile storytelling

across various genres, including Documentaries, Television, Music Videos, Animation, Commercials and Concert Films.

His work spans a diverse range of subjects, but what sets him apart is his ability to blend innovative ideas

with spectacular visuals and emotional storytelling.

Notably, in 2024, Dale directed "BLUE RODEO | LOST TOGETHER", a feature documentary about

the iconic Canadian band, celebrating their success, perseverance and four decades of enduring friendships.

Dale was part of the production team on the emotionally charged hockey series, BöRJE | THE JOURNEY OF A LEGEND"

as well as the AMAZON docuseries “ALL OR NOTHING | TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS".

 

Dale is perhaps best known for his long-time collaboration with rock legends RUSH.

As creative director, live concert director and documentary director, his Paul Rudd narrated feature documentary

“RUSH | TIME STAND STILL” received 5-star reviews across the continent on its way to winning the

CANADIAN SCREEN AWARD - while the companion concert film “R40 LIVE” debuted at number one on Billboard. 

 

If you’re a fan of hockey, “NAMES ON THE CUP”, his feature doc on the Stanley Cup is must see.

Narrated by Kiefer Sutherland, the epic hockey story of triumph and heartbreak was nominated for a CSA.

 

Dale‘s scripted credits include the RON JAMES SHOW on CBC – many SHORT FILMS and hundreds of TV Commercials

and Music Videos. He’s even had his work featured at the most prestigious Film Festival in the world.

His quirky short film, “THE TRUTH ABOUT HEAD" premiered at the CANNES Film Festival, winning 4 awards

while drawing comparisons to Tim Burton and Mad Magazine.
